5-Room Resale Renovation at 316A Anchorvale Link

The brief

For this 5-room resale renovation at Anchorvale Link in Sengkang, the homeowners wanted a full overhaul that felt contemporary but never cold. The home had to hold their rituals: proper coffee in the morning, music in the evening, gaming sessions and a piano corner, all with a young child in the mix. Our team worked closely with them to squeeze real function out of every square metre while keeping a cohesive, lived-in warmth.

The design

The heart of the home is a curved coffee bar wrapped in fluted dark wood, with a wine chiller below and the espresso station on top, crowned by a rose-gold ring pendant against caramel-toned walls. Behind it, the wet kitchen stays enclosed by black-framed fluted glass sliders, so the deep navy cabinets, black worktop and patterned tile runner can handle heavy cooking without the mess or smells spilling into the living space.

The dining nook pairs a live-edge wood table with built-in bench seating and cabinets faced in cane webbing, a detail that repeats at the entrance shoe cabinet. In the living room, a wood slat feature wall and floating console keep the TV zone light, while a black-framed fluted glass partition carves out a corner for the family piano without stealing any daylight. One bedroom became a dedicated study and gaming room with concrete-look full-height wardrobes, and the bathroom trades the usual tiles for wood-look planks, a rain shower set and a frosted glass screen.
