Worth planning in from day one
- Smart lighting circuits: neutral wires at every switch box, so any switch can become smart later. Group circuits by scene (dining, TV, night path) rather than one switch per room.
- Air-con control: the single most-used smart feature in Singapore. Confirm your units are controllable or add smart IR points near each blower.
- Smart door lock: check the door and frame specification during carpentry so the lock fits cleanly.
- Mesh Wi-Fi or LAN points: one LAN run to each corner of the home beats any repeater. Plan a ventilated, hidden spot for the router.
- Robot vacuum dock: a dedicated socket in a low corner, planned into the carpentry so the dock disappears.
- Curtain track power: a concealed point above the window if motorised curtains are even a maybe.
